What will you learn?

Specialists in Game Art play a crucial role in adding the distinctive identity to a video game. Upon completing the Game Art training program in Unreal Engine, you will be capable of designing graphic elements such as the creation of worlds, characters, and environments using 2D drawing or 3D modeling. The program aims to teach all the necessary tools for the professional world. Furthermore, our instructors will guide you in meeting the industry deadlines, providing an environment that simulates real-world scenarios.

In the first year, you will become acquainted with Unreal Engine and learn the visual creation and animation process of a 2D video game. You will design narratives and stories, applying design principles to UI, UX, and UMG. Additionally, you will engage in project-based learning, collaborating with students from the Programming Program to develop a video game collectively. In the second year, you will work on a 3D video game to apply the knowledge gained throughout the program.

A Technical Artist is a professional who acts as a bridge between graphic artists and programmers in the video game, animation, film, and other related industries. Their primary goal is to optimize the production process and enhance the visual quality of projects.

This program has been carefully crafted to provide you with a comprehensive approach to key art concepts for creating characters and environments for game development. It aims to equip you with the practical tools necessary to achieve success in your professional career through a combination of theory and hands-on practice.

Unreal Engine

Learn the use of this versatile engine from scratch.

Concept Art

Creation of scenarios, characters, objects, gameplay aspects, and content for the subsequent stages of development, as well as the fundamentals of color, volume, and composition.

UI/UX

How to design the visual aspect using professional tools.

Cinematics

Learn how to create shot compositions and use Sequencer, Unreal’s tool, to craft high-quality cinematics and specific animations.

Materials

Learn about PBR materials for 3D objects and their properties, master the interface, and familiarize yourself with the Unreal material editor tools. Additionally, understand memory usage and compression types.

Audio

Learn how to import resources and program the sound actor.

Sculpting

Sculpt in 3D, learn sculpting techniques, Zspheres, and Z modeler; explore basic anatomy and hard surface modeling for a model.

2D/3D Artist

A 2D/3D Artist is a versatile professional with skills in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art. This individual can work across various industries, including video games, animation, advertising, and design, demonstrating the ability to create both detailed flat images (2D) and three-dimensional models (3D).

 

VFX Artist

Specializing as a VFX Artist puts you in charge of the visual effects in the video game. This includes creating effects like fire, smoke, or explosions that complement the game levels, as well as effects for gameplay mechanics. You’ll design how a headshot or a sword thrust is visualized within the game.

Game Designer

An essential and purely analytical yet strategic profile. As a Game Designer, you will be responsible for the design and conceptualization of many aspects of the game, including the narrative of the story or lore, characters, as well as the rules of the game or its economy.

Concept Artist

The expert who translates ideas into a concept for the rest of the team to adapt the game and align ideas for development. Characters, props, vehicles, creatures, or environments are conceptualized in this role.

Animator

Bringing a 2D or 3D character to life is the primary responsibility of an animator, specializing in movement and physics. An artist dedicated to animation must have a solid understanding of natural anatomy, enabling them to create facial animations, character movement, and animations for objects used within the game. Note: This is one of the most in-demand professions today!
